Largest Collection of Teapots

Trenton, TN

Trenton's City Hall at 309 S. College Street, holds the largest collection of teapots at 526 items. The beautiful and rare porcelain veilleuse-theieres, or night-light teapots, were created to comfort the sick with light and medicinal tea in Asia, Europe and Africa (c.1750-1860). The collection was donated to the city by Dr. Frederick C. Freed and is estimated to be worth more than $3 million.

The Museum of Appalachia

The Museum of Appalachia is considered the most authentic and complete replica of pioneer Appalachia life in the world. It is 65 acres of authentic log structures, a craft and antique shop, a restaurant, the Appalachian Hall of Fame and several other buildings representing and displaying the people of early Southern Appalachia. Experience Tennessee as it was in the early 1700s at the Museum of Appalachia.
